17 Apr, 2026

On 17th October 2026, Vasily Petrenko will conduct the Czech Philharmonic at the Janáček BRNO Festival, performing Sinfonietta in a programme that will also feature Béla Bartók’s The Wooden Prince, Igor Stravinsky’s Petrushka / burlesque scenes in four tableaux. Vasily comments: “It’s always a pleasure to perform on Czech stages. The Czech people have such a passionate and longstanding tradition of classical music and a proud history of great composers, great orchestras and great conductors. So, for me, it is always a great pleasure to be in Prague, which is one my favourite cities in the world. This time, we also will be in Brno and that will be an exciting new discovery for me. I’m very much looking forward to working together with the amazing Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.”
