Vasily Petrenko’s announces his new Academy for Young Conductors. It will take place from 2 – 6 July 2024 in Yerevan, Armenia. The Academy is co-organized by the Primavera Foundation Armenia and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Eduard Topchjan).
The he courses are designed for young conductors who will have individual rehearsals with the symphony orchestra and participate in the seminar Secrets of Conducting Off the Stage. Both rehearsals and the seminar will be conducted by Vasily Petrenko. At the end of the courses the participants together with Vasily Petrenko will take part in the closing gala concert presenting the pieces they worked on the previous days. Academy rehearsals and gala concert will take place in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The orchestra for the courses and the gala concert will consist of musicians from the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia.

Applications from active participants are accepted until June 3, 2024. Participants must be born between 1989 and 2006, inclusive. The application form and additional information are on the Primavera Foundation of Armenia website.
The Academy for Young Conductors is an unprecedented educational initiative for the region. It will provide young conductors invaluable professional support, guidance, and nurturing motivation.
