In a recent interview with Russian television network (broadcasting culture and arts-orientated shows), Russia K, Vasily shared some of his future plans, from lobbying for the musical education projects in Liverpool to trying to get a new concert hall for the Oslo Philharmonic orchestra.

“Partnership between the conductor and the orchestra is the most important thing. Of course, interpretation is always mine but the main storyteller is the orchestra – the baton is not making any sounds”, said Petrenko. “My main rule is you disagree – criticize, you criticize – suggest, you suggest – do, you do – be responsible.”
